lumigrow, haight solid state, sunshine systems, and a 400 watt hps

smokefrogg's little so cal outdoor winter girls

it's been cold, the afghan x lowryder #2 is getting purple...this one will be back crossed to a lowryder #2 male

here's a kind of fuzzy picture of an almost done lowryder #2 pregnant gal, it only has a week-ish to go so i figured she could have some california sun for the last couple days of her life, actually i wonder if an auto flower plant can reveg? maybe i'll find out...

this thai plant is has just been placed outside, in about 98 days if all goes well i'll be chopping some awesome sun grown thai buds!

this is a mystery bag seed volunteer plant, a lot has happened to it, i'm surprised it's still alive, she's budding very very slowly, i defoliated a bit today and the smell was incredibly skunky

lumigrow es 165 pictures

this just arrived, it will be added to the flowering tent alongside a 400 watt hps and 2 sunshine systems glowpanel 45s

garlic is quick, sour diesel is slow, smokefrogg's grow

a vigorous garlic, a struggling sour diesel, and a slow and steady acapulco gold are up top in the 1 gallon pots

below that in order from left to right mostly in various stages of flowering we have some hopeful clones of jamaican, the white, green crack, bubba (or bubba og hmmm), sour diesel, and something we don't know the name of but it purples up almost to black it gets so dark...with the help of 1 part milk and 10 parts water being sprayed often, we seem to have eliminated the mold issue that came with some of these cuts, the white was the worst of them all, she actually had to be pruned back, next bad one was the super dark/purple one, as you could imagine the jamaican showed zero signs of the mold even though it came from the same garden as the moldy ones

the 3 to the left are bagseed acapulco gold, the 4 to the right are petrolia headstash, the petrolia cuts root so quick! tons of roots popping out when they do!

this garlic i was gifted, she has since been moved into the main veg area since she's growing so quickly for being a newly transplanted clone, i hear she finishes flowering very early, 40 days hmmm, that's what i heard, we'll find out soon enough =) the hash made from the garlic is stellar to say the least btw

veg area from the left

veg area from the right

veg area from above right

check out these f13 plants, the one on the left is a trip! lovin' it!

here's the afghan x lowryder #2, it's 65 days old in this picture and still has not shown sex yet, it's sister which is the same age is outside and is female, it's purpling up btw no doubt due the unusual cold southern california has been experiencing (killed a tomato plant), anyways, i am going to leave this plant i veg for another 60 days, i want to see if it autoflowers from the lowyrder #2 male genes! if it doesn't by then, i think i'll  try to get a couple clones to leave vegging then pop it into the flower chamber and drop some lowryder #2 pollen on it to back cross, find a male from that and then back cross that back to the afghan x lowyrder #2 clones i took earlier, haha we'll see

here's a shot of our pregnant lowryder #2 girl!

here's the baby daddy lowryder #2 male! he's moving out of here in a day, i have collect plenty of pollen, i'm not going to off him quite yet though, he can hang out in the quarantine area for a bit as i collect more pollen from him hehe

not sure what to put into this 5 gallon aero pot thing yet, hmmm...

now we'll venture into the flower chamber, here's something i completely space out on labeling, i think it's petrolia headstash, whatever it is, it's about 43 days into flowering...i think i dropped some lowyrder #2 pollen on this last week, some petrol ryder?

world of seeds columbian gold, man i've been so bad at taking records, not sure how old this is, gosh this stuff is so tasty, it knocks me out for sleepy time very well, i'm really looking forward to this tasty treat, the next one i flower will be much larger when i pull it out of veg ;)

acapulco gold, it is from bagseed but whatever, this stuff is so super tasty creamy, it's 18 days into flowering here

this acapulco gold shriveled up and dried within a couple days, it tastes horrible, i might cook it into some milk or tea or something later, i really screwed this one up somehow, ya' live ya' learn!

this 61 day thai had a rough spot but is recovering pretty, i need to let them get bigger before popping them in, this world of seeds thai is one of my favorites, it's so up and happy and thought provoking and has the yummiest sweet and sour taste to it, the smell of it in the jar makes my mouth water *nom nom nom* it's generally done after 14 weeks of flowering or 98 days, pretty early for a thai right? ...the plan is to later get more varieties of thai, i want to venture further down that road =)

sour diesel @ 18 days flowering

the flower area

leds powered back on, soon a haight solid state ppf 800 will join the 400 watt hps and 2 28 watt sunshine systems glowpanel 45 lights

here's some blue satellite #2.2 that was chopped @ 67 days, wish i let them get bigger! c'est la vie...

waiting for a haight solid state ppf-800 led grow lamp

i have one of these on order:

here's the product detail from their website:
http://shop.haightsolidstate.com/Haight-Solid-State-PPF-800-LED-Grow-light-PPF-800.htm

Haight Solid State PPF-800 LED Grow light

31 - 6W wide beam LEDs

15 x 20 x 1 inch
3.5 lbs

1 year limited warranty
Designed in the USA
Patent Pending

The Haight Solid State grow lights use the latest LED technology to deliver outstanding growth performance. Plants use only a small portion of light from the sun. The measure of the light levels of the useful part of the spectrum for plants is called the "Photosynthetic Photon Flux" or PPF. Our PPF grow lights are thin, lightweight and have no fans.

The LEDs are 6W each - more than 4 times brighter than the Cree XB. The LEDs are automotive rated - the toughest rating for semiconductors. These are the only grow lights currently using this new generation of LEDs - they produce more light, penetrate deeper, and cost less.

The PPF-800 should be positioned 6-18 inches above the canopy. Closer than 6 inches can result in stunted growth during the vegetative stage but it is a good idea to move the lights closer (2-3 inches) during flowering.

The price is a bit high on the manufacturer's website, i ordered from greners.com where it was $420
http://www.greners.com/grow-lights/led-brand/haight-solid-state-ppf-800-led-grow-light.html

i am hoping to eliminate the 250 watt hps that has been in my veg area, and also to eliminate it's exhaust fan, as well as lower my electricity bill a bit, the wifey was a bit surprised at how high the last bill was, hmmm...
