trainwreck? #1 and #2 - march 28 2010

it's been pretty hot lately, the 2 trainwreck girls have some very dry buds on them already, so of course i had to go for a test run =)

check out how different they look!

the one on the left is the plant that was super sparkly far before any of the others began to show trichomes in flowering, as far as smoke goes it is far superior to the one on the right

budda' time! - march 26 2010

a friend gave me a bunch of shake, time to make some budda'!

chopped trainwrecks hangin' out - march 26 2010

they both got chopped, i'm hanging the whole plant on each of them, haven't trimmed anything and am giving it  a go with letting the girls dry with leaves and everything along with it, we'll see if it's more flavorful than the last as that is the rumor i hear =)

thai takin' off and jack the ripper 'bout to break on through! - march 25 2010

the little thai sprout is taking off quickly! i lowered the light about 6 inches, the tray of sprouts next to this one stretched too much so i don't want to take the chance with a pure sativa like thai

also we can see jack the ripper getting ready to bust through, round 2 is comin' in to effect!

herbal vodka martini time! - march 25 2010

a few days ago i purchased a 750ml bottle of absolut vodka, popped in about 4g of xj13 popcorn buds, i then let it sit in the dark, turning the bottle upside down that right side up once every other day or so. today is a bit early, but i wanted to give it a go anyways so i made a mini herbal dirty martini! boy is it tasty, the xj13 and taste comes through an mixes well with the tiny bit of olive juice mixed in to make it dirty, love it!

thai is sprouted! - march 24 2010

1 of the 3 thai plants has emerged through the soil!

batch almost done, new batch starting - march 22 2010

the 2 supposed trainwreck girls are getting the chop at the end of the week

also we have some sprouts sprouted and growing, this will hopefully be batch #2, hopefully i don't get too many males, most of the seed planted is from bag seed, we shall see!

here is the lineup from the babies, starting in the back moving forward:
2 acapulco gold (from bagseed)
1 la woman (dna seeds)
1 kandy kush x skunk (dna seeds)
2 strawberry cough (from bagseed...these are too tall and lanky right now, may have to cull, we'll wait and see)
2 cheese (from bagseed...these are the best looking of the bunch so far imho)

here is a time lapse of the babies pictured above, a frame is taken every hour, the camera runs out of battery after a few days, trying to right it up to be constantly plugged in so we can take longer time lapse videos in the future, for now here we go:

trainwreck? 1 week till chop time! 77 days - march 18 2010

these 2 look so different, they are both supposed to be trainwreck but who knows what they are in reality, looking like they'll be good either way ;)

this is the girl on the left, she is foxtailing a bit, hard to get a good pic of it, buds are shaped completely different than the ones on the right

here's the group shot

i feel bad for these, they went through a lot, i almost killed them with heat, hoping i can reveg and/or get some clones with the one of the left mostly, then i can give it another go, we're not going to be pulling a lot of weight off these girls this time around but the variety will be nice for personals =)

trainwreck, 2 different types? - march 11 2010

i have 2 small trainwreck girls still in the flowering phase, both were acquired from the same place at the same time, the one on the left is foxtailing a bit and it's buds look a brighter shade of green, the one on the left also had a big number of trichomes showing up at week 3, it looked frost covered way before any of the others or it's sister on the right, 70 days flowering today!

this is the one on the left

here's the one on the right

beginning the curing process! - march 8 2010

here we have the first hindu skunk plant in the jar to the far right, the other jars and the branch are the xj13

yield was low, considering this was my first time doing it i feel great about it though, quality smoke for sure, hindu skunk was about 16 grams, xj13 about 25 grams

last hindu skunk harvested, dried bud shots, lots of room in flowering cabinet - march 7, 2010

i harvested the last hindu skunk plant, i let her flower 1 week longer than the the one i chopped last week. we still have 2 trainwreck plants going, i have a feeling they'll be another 2~3 weeks before it's harvest time for them.

the leaf and super small trim from last weeks harvest is now dried and sitting in a 16oz. mason jar, taking up 7/8 of the space in there, the plan is to get some butter and cook it down, make some brownies or cookies with the cannabutter afterwards.

here is a closeup of some small buds dried 1 week from last weekend's harvest, xj13 on top and hindu skunk on the bottom

i planted some more seeds as well, on the right in this pic of the veg cabinet you can see them, i just popped the seeds into soil, some fox farm's ocean forest soil, sitting in little biodegradable planters, i have planted the following: 2 bag seed acapulco gold, 1 dna kandy kush, 1 dna la woman, 2 bag seed cheese, 2 bag seed strawberry cough

on the left, i purchased some of those clear cloning gel pots, hoping those work out well, the clones are 2 xj13, 3 hindu skunk from last week and 1 hindu skunk from this weekend's harvest

here's one last group shot, the hindu skunk is the taller one on the right, now chopped and separated

here's a closeup of the hindu skunk, right before getting chopped, i can't wait till these dry and cure a little bit, comparing hindu skunk harvested now versus the hindu skunk i harvested 1 week earlier will be interesting

lastly, here are 2 closeups of some trainwreck buds, these girls take longer to finish but will be so worth it

harvested 2 girls, 3 still going, reveg attempt - march 1 2010

i harvested 1 of the hindu skunk girls, and the xj13, did this yesterday. it was my first time harvesting and it sure took awhile, i got some nice scissor hash in the process, that was pleasant.

i am going to try and reveg the xj13, as well as the hindu skunk that was harvested, when the trainwreck girls get harvested i'll probably try to reveg them too since i never let them get too big in the first place, so i put together a little reveg spot after i was done harvesting.

hindu skunk drying

hindu skunk drying on the left, the 2 bags on the right have the xj13

the remaining ladies have a lot more room now! trainwreck on the left probably won't get chopped for 2~3 weeks, the hindu skunk on the left might get chopped in 1 week

a closeup of a trainwreck bud

two closeups of the biggest hindu skunk buds

here is the new vegging area, i still have a lot of work to do here but this should work for the time being

here is the hindu skunk, such a thick stalk on her
