new veg cabinet, more cfls!

i need a larger veg area for all of the clones i am about to bring in, 2 blue dream clones, 10 thai clones! so we are upgrading from the 14" cubed box, to a space that is roughly 24" cubed! i have acquired 2 40 watt cfl bulbs that are 2700k, we are going to use them along with some 26 watt cfls and a PURple fluoro

following are images of all the girls in veg, we have thai, blue dream, 1 myster-e plant, lowryder #2 x afghan, all flowering at different stages in here, from the s og/bubba @ 14 days flowering to the thai clone #2 @ 83 days flowering!

autoflower defoliation week 2

here is week 2 of my autoflower defoliation test, the one on the right is shorter but man, look at the bud sites, so much more growth!


so i went ahead and defoliated the other 2 and trimmed up the first one a bit


here's the entire cabinet, i took a blue dream out yesterday that was at 70 days flowering, it is hanging and drying now

the jars are the small 16oz. jars, this stuff is very wispy and airy,
not sure how much weight there is but it's more than enough for me till
the next one! you can see that the thai has a very slight hint of blue
in it's color, pretty weird but nice, that slight blue is how i feel
when i smoke it, my mouth gets a bit numb as if i had some mint or
menthol, no mint or menthol taste that i'm detecting but your mouth does
get numb in a similar fashion, for some reason when i see that blue hue

side by side, to the left is the beer cup challenge afghan x lowryder #2 that was not defoliated, to the right is the one that was, they are both 29 days old today. it appears that the one on the right has larger bud sites, so did the defoliating work? i feel it's too soon to tell yet! stay tuned till next week for more action!!

a weak barely making it og or bubba from seed, all of the others died, this one vegged for 70 days (wtf?!), it was barely pulling through and i got tired of it so we took it out of the veg box and tossed it into flowering, seems to be growing better now, watch i'll get like 1/2g of herb from it or something haha =)

22oz. sapporo beer can planter pot business - august 14, 2010

i'm down for the 16oz. beer cups, but sometimes i think it would be better if they were elongated, so as to allow a tap root room to tap! i was looking at a bunch of old beer bottles and cans, and the sapporo can jumped out to me, this should be perfect!

first things first, get yourself some sapporo beer, the 22oz. can!

dump that beer out into something


rinse the beer can out well!


i like to turn the opener thingy so that it covers the opening, this will become the bottom of the planter so i feel it'll help keep some soil in the beer can if we turn the tab this way


turn the can upside down and grab your can opener


open that can up


take the top, errr... bottom off and discard or recycle or do whatever with it, just don't cut yourself!


add soil and a plant!

thai chopped @ 110 days, spreading the girls out and lowering the lights - august 12, 2010

here she is right before, i know she's still kicking lots of white pistils, but she is beginning to look necrotic on some parts, i don't want to push her any longer, i really do think adding the led when she was at 11 weeks flowering screwed her clock up thinking that wow now it's brighter out so it must be earlier in the year than we thought it was! this sort of thing happened with the myster-e plant and yes it bulked up and kicked ass a little bit more, but parts of bud were getting straight up necrotic and dead while other parts of the same bud would be spitting out white pistils still, craaaap....so we'll not change a thing with lighting anytime soon and see how long the smaller newer thai girls in this box are doing around week 11~13ish

look at all the room now! we brought the lights down quite a bit as well, go beer cup girls go!

this blue is 61 days flowering and going strong!

this afghan x lowryder #2 is so far the quickest out of all of them!
