beginning the curing process! - march 8 2010

here we have the first hindu skunk plant in the jar to the far right, the other jars and the branch are the xj13

yield was low, considering this was my first time doing it i feel great about it though, quality smoke for sure, hindu skunk was about 16 grams, xj13 about 25 grams

last hindu skunk harvested, dried bud shots, lots of room in flowering cabinet - march 7, 2010

i harvested the last hindu skunk plant, i let her flower 1 week longer than the the one i chopped last week. we still have 2 trainwreck plants going, i have a feeling they'll be another 2~3 weeks before it's harvest time for them.

the leaf and super small trim from last weeks harvest is now dried and sitting in a 16oz. mason jar, taking up 7/8 of the space in there, the plan is to get some butter and cook it down, make some brownies or cookies with the cannabutter afterwards.

here is a closeup of some small buds dried 1 week from last weekend's harvest, xj13 on top and hindu skunk on the bottom

i planted some more seeds as well, on the right in this pic of the veg cabinet you can see them, i just popped the seeds into soil, some fox farm's ocean forest soil, sitting in little biodegradable planters, i have planted the following: 2 bag seed acapulco gold, 1 dna kandy kush, 1 dna la woman, 2 bag seed cheese, 2 bag seed strawberry cough

on the left, i purchased some of those clear cloning gel pots, hoping those work out well, the clones are 2 xj13, 3 hindu skunk from last week and 1 hindu skunk from this weekend's harvest

here's one last group shot, the hindu skunk is the taller one on the right, now chopped and separated

here's a closeup of the hindu skunk, right before getting chopped, i can't wait till these dry and cure a little bit, comparing hindu skunk harvested now versus the hindu skunk i harvested 1 week earlier will be interesting

lastly, here are 2 closeups of some trainwreck buds, these girls take longer to finish but will be so worth it

harvested 2 girls, 3 still going, reveg attempt - march 1 2010

i harvested 1 of the hindu skunk girls, and the xj13, did this yesterday. it was my first time harvesting and it sure took awhile, i got some nice scissor hash in the process, that was pleasant.

i am going to try and reveg the xj13, as well as the hindu skunk that was harvested, when the trainwreck girls get harvested i'll probably try to reveg them too since i never let them get too big in the first place, so i put together a little reveg spot after i was done harvesting.

hindu skunk drying

hindu skunk drying on the left, the 2 bags on the right have the xj13

the remaining ladies have a lot more room now! trainwreck on the left probably won't get chopped for 2~3 weeks, the hindu skunk on the left might get chopped in 1 week

a closeup of a trainwreck bud

two closeups of the biggest hindu skunk buds

here is the new vegging area, i still have a lot of work to do here but this should work for the time being

here is the hindu skunk, such a thick stalk on her

59 days flowering, 8 1/2 weeks, should i chop yet? hmmm... - february 28 2010

i think it would be safe to chop the xj13 and the hindu skunk plants, i'm thinking of doing it today, these girls normally flower and finish in 7~8 weeks, it's 8 1/2 now, i'm guessing i'll need some kind of magnification to be able to really see the trichomes in order to determine

first 2 are hindu skunk, 3rd pic is xj13, group shot from left to right is trainwreck, hindu skunks on the middle and left, xj13 not very visible in the back but you can see the tallest colas of all the plants which belong to her, xj13 is so citrusy and good *drool*

migraines and cannabis - february 26 2010

today i was reminded why i am completely within my right to have a california medical marijuana doctor's recommendation

i get migraines sometimes, it runs in the family on my mom's side, and her mom's side, i have been getting them since i was very small, some of my earliest childhood memories are in fact migraine headaches.

well today i awoke with a very slight one, didn't think much of it and just went along with my day, by 10am it was pounding hard and kicking my ass, i tried to take some tylenol and puked it back up 5 minutes later, mind you that this was at work! i cleaned myself up and went out to the car, i only had mids, black domina is the indica that i had on deck, it was an ok batch from eden therapy, real cheap like 25$ 1/8 or something, anyways i took a few small 1/2 tokes of it and just laid back in the car, no music or anything, ac lightly blowing a cool breeze, just laid back and closed my eyes, i felt the herb slowly moving down my head, numbing it and feeling so much better, i could still feel the migraine a tiny bit at times, but the herb definitely took over, that heady stoned indica works wonders for me

this migraine was one that caused so much pressure, my tear ducts were tearing up, thinking about anything in depth initiated deep pounding, i wanted to just close my eyes and ears and turn my brain off, i was praying to god for it to stop, well thank you god for that cannabis plant, that stuff is a wonder, i was able to get back to work and kick some major ass knocking projects out once again

just a taste - february 23, 2010

on saturday i took a small lower branch popcorn bud off of the hindu skunk

it's mostly dry right now, such a small piece that it is; i just gave it a try and man is this stuff tasty! still got a week and a half to go before it's harvest time for her, she's going to be even better by then, hooray!

xj13 and hindu skunk now switch to pure water only, trainwreck 2 weeks to go for that - february 21, 2010

we are probably going to harvest the hindu skunk and the xj13 plants in 2 weeks, i have stopped feeding them nutrients and only giving them pure water at this point

i'll be doing the same thing in about 2 weeks with the trainwreck plants, they have a longer flowering time

new lighting settings on the digicam - february 16 2010

just trying out new lighting settings

i've set the white balance to the cabinet as it is white, seems to come out a lot better like this if the lamp is on

growing growing, 41 days flowering - february 10 2010

lagging on pics lately, here are some shots

the burn/mottling hasn't been spreading since i gave these girls some good nutrients, i haven't wanted to chop the half dried out leaves as there is still chlorophyll so they are still being used to aid photosynthesis, no worries they'll get trimmed for good in a few weeks, we will begin feeding nothing but water to all but the trainwreck at the end of next week, flush them out so as to have super smoooooth smoke

in order, xj13, group shot, xj13 again

nutrients are helping - february 5 2010

the nutrients are slowly doing their job, we're not seeing any additional blotches on the girls

here are some more pics!

a couple charts for helping with determining harvest time - february 3 2010

these are great little charts, i didn't make these but wanted to share

these were lifted from a thread on riu, thanks riu folks for all the love!

problem seems to be a P deficiency - february 3 2010

the girls are growing and not doing bad

but that leaf blotchy issue isn't good, after a lot of reading and asking around, everything and everybody seems to be pointing to a phosphorous deficiency

i picked up some 10-15-10 schultz concentrated plant food and gave each of the plants a 1/2 does during watering today, we'll keep this up for a few days and see how it goes

i also picked up some superthrive, just a small bottle, i'll give them a bit of that every other watering

more pics will come in a few days, hmm, we'll be at 5 weeks flowering tomorrow btw, gotta' keep it goin', in about 4 weeks it'll be harvest time for the hindu skunk and the xj13!
